Gorman ISD has a number of local scholarships offered to graduating seniors in the spring. There are many other sources for financial aid available to our students. All students will need to complete the federal financial aid application known as the FAFSA. A scholarship folder is provided to the seniors in the fall in an effort to help students organize their scholarship information. Some of the items to be included in this folder are a personal essay, reference letters, updated activity sheet, scholarship lists, resume, testing information and financial information. Students need to take college entrance exams as soon as possible. Please look through the links provided for additional information on financial aid and scholarships.

There are many scholarship sites and resources available to you and here are a few hints:
1. Make scholarship deadlines.
2. Never turn in an incomplete application. It will likely be discarded.
3. Apply for scholarships in which you are eligible.
4. Watch out for scams that ask you for money or charge you a scholarship application fee.
5. Be neat. Type or write legibly. Make a copy of the application before completing it in case you have errors.
6. Keep a copy of your application in your folder.
7. Always send thank you notes!
