Gorman Independent School District
2007-2008 NCLB Report Card
Section 1111(h)(2) of the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB)
requires that each local education agency (LEA) that
receives Title I, Part A funding to disseminate specific
LEA- and campus-level data to 1) all LEA campuses, 2)
parents of all enrolled students, and 3) to make the
information widely available through public means such
as posting on the internet, distribution to the media,
or distribution through public agencies.
The
following data must be disseminated for the LEA and each
campus:
•
Assessment results in the aggregate and disaggregated by
race, ethnicity, gender, disability status, migrant
status, English proficiency, and economically
disadvantaged.
° by
performance level,
° showing two-year trend data for each subject and grade
tested,
° with a comparison between annual objectives and actual
performance for each student group,
° including the percentage of each group of students not
tested.
•
Graduation rates for secondary school students.
•
Performance of school districts on adequate yearly
progress measures.
•
Number and names of Title I schools identified as in
need of improvement, including information on any
schools identified for improvement.
•
Professional qualifications of teachers in the state,
including the percentage of teachers teaching with
emergency or provisional credentials and the percentage
of classes in the state that are not taught by highly
qualified teachers, including a comparison between high-
and low-poverty schools.

The student assessment data, disaggregated by the
required student groups, are available at: http://k12testing.tx.ncspearson.com/AssessmentResults/
1. At
the opening screen, select either "Texas Statewide
Results" or the ESC region of the state where
Gorman ISD is
located.
2.
From the dropdown menus, select the Gorman and/or campus,
school year of test results, and report requested.
3.
For consistency, the LEA may choose the April TAKS 3-10
and Exit Level (English and Spanish) report for each
campus.
Participation Data, Graduation Rates, and
Adequate Yearly Progress

1. At
the opening screen, on item number 1 select either
Report for the District only to access the LEA-level
report or Reports for all campuses within a selected
district to access campus-level reports.
2. On
item number 2, select the option indicating how to
search for the LEA.
3. On
item number 3, enter the appropriate name or
number-corresponding to the search option chosen in item
2 above.
4.
Click on the "Continue" button to search for the
results.
Highly Qualified Data
•
Gorman ISD highly qualified data are available at: http://burleson.tea.state.tx.us/ReportInterface/
1.
Select the Report Year.
2. In
the "Select Report" category, click on the "NCLB Highly
Qualified Teacher Reports".
3. At
the next screen, select the "Additional Parameters"
options to select the state, district, or campus reports
of your choice.
4.
After selecting parameters in each window, click on the
"Generate Report" button at the bottom of the page.
